English Language Learning
St. Peter’s English Language Learning class welcomes all learners who wish to learn or improve their English.
Our students come from across the world: Mexico, South America, Central America, Taiwan, Vietnam, China, Russia, Ukraine, Haiti, Dominican Republic and numerous eastern and southern European countries. St. Peter’s has been offering this program since 2004.
Classes meet Tuesday evenings beginning in September and continuing into the spring. We also offer a summer class, usually May – July.
Join us in St. Peter’s, Room 101. There is no advance registration. Our teachers assist students with speaking, reading, and writing English. We offer several levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Classes meet from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.
Students are immersed in English vocabulary, conversation, dialogues, songs, and activities. Community connections like the food bank, clothes closet, and living in the United States are explained. Our focus is being fluent in English for everyday life.
Our instruction is individualized as teachers work one on one or in small groups. Learners are encouraged to join at any time.
